Telefonica will use a German provider of network services for internet

The Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica will enable the German provider 1 & 1 Internet using its infrastructure in Germany to offer combined services and internet telephony.
Telefónica Germany reported today that 1 & 1 Internet connection will provide a complete telephone and internet browsing through the net of the Spanish company in this country so that their customers do not need a telephone connection added.

Telefónica Germany and 1 & 1 Internet cooperating since 2005 in offering phone calls over the Internet, the installation of speed connections to the network and the distribution of video on demand service Maxdome, the German TV company ProSiebenSat.1.

The director of Telefonica Germany, Johannes Pruchnow, said that with this agreement "we confirmed our strategy to invest heavily in one of the most modern networks, and more future in Germany."

The spokesman for 1 & 1 Internet, Andreas Gauger, believes that "Telefónica's infrastructure is the basis of our full internet connectivity and telephony, we want to reach more than 60 percent of German households in the future."
